Welcome

Welcome to my Blog

Thank you for taking the time to visit.

Here you will find various attempts at self-reflection and self-revelation. Not easy tasks. I think that both are essential for our spiritual development. Without revealing ourselves, relationships and love are difficult, if not impossible. Without learning more about ourselves, we make our friends and acquaintances look like we want them to be, rather than how they are. In other words, we do not see the real other person because we do not know enough about ourselves to look at who they are instead of who we want them to be.

At any rate, you will find written, video and audio experiments, often connected to my YouTube channel, Seeking God, and one of my Facebook pages, Masterpeace. Perhaps I will venture into other exercises, too.

Welcome!

About

IMG_0341

I have been a father and an Episcopal priest for nearly forty years. These are my personal ramblings, reflections and responses to various things, mostly related to life, faith and love.

At this time, I am the rector (pastor) of Iona-Hope Episcopal Church in Fort Myers, Florida. My wife and I came here in 2014, moving from Church of the Redeemer in Mobile, Alabama. I have served as a parish priest, pastoral psychotherapist, alcohol/drug counselor, EAP counselor, mental health center director, hospital chaplain and family mediator.

A Faithful Life

In A Faithful Life, we will talk in depth about subjects related to growing in faith. These will be longer videos than the reflective videos of Seeking God.

Seeking God

I started a Video Series on Spirituality on YouTube. I will post them here and invite your interaction. Prior to the lockdown caused by the pandemic, I was making videos on a weekly basis. The lockdown created the need to develop online services for the Episcopal Church (Iona-Hope Episcopal Church in Fort Myers, Florida) where I am a priest. Therefore, I began to use my production and editing time for the congregation. Currently, I am trying to revive my own online presence.
